British Flowers and How to Work with Them: A Professional Course for Florists and Floristry Students

This year, we've teamed up with professional flower growers, Featherstone English Flower Co. to offer a series of two-day courses for each season, each of which dives deep into everything you might need to know about working with British flowers.

Each two-day course is available separately or you can attend all courses for a 10% discount.

The price for the courses is £570 per season (two day class)

or £2050 for all four seasons.

Each season brings both beauty and challenges for both growers and florists alike, and each seasonal class will give you the knowledge to create beautiful designs and work confidently with British flowers.

If you attend more than one course, you will see the transition of a working flower farm through the seasons, and go over a broad mix of floristry techniques.

The Spring session will see you touring the farm, learning about the different sources of cut material in the UK, cutting and conditioning Spring blooms. For Autumn we will be looking into using colour and texture in bouquets then working as a team to create arch installations. After a tour of the field and harvesting stems to be used for your designs, we will be looking into speciality Autumn flowers, where and how to source them. As well as giving guidance around costing large installations, and a practice at doing it yourself, we will be discussing some of the administrative details regarding the installation of large designs.
